Steve Hopkinson is a Formula 1 enthusiast trying to make the step to grand prix journalist. On this blog, he will try to take a look at some of the less widely written about aspects of Formula 1. Rather than simple race reports, the blog will have articles on driver psychology, what can be learned from F1 about the wider world, and a healthy amount of conjecture over what’s going on in the greatest show on Earth.

I was pointed in the direction of your blog by a reader of The F1 Times.

I’ve got to say I’m really impressed with your knowledge of the sport, especially the technical aspects which are rarely written about due to their complexity.

Having read your latest entry ‘Why adjustable wings needn’t affect gear ratios’ I immediately worked my way through the rest of your articles.

Great work! I’ll be making this blog a regular stop ‘for sure’.
